Chief Rabbi of Poland
Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich has led the Jewish community of Poland since 2004. Prior to that he served as Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Japan (1983-1989). He was born and raised in New York City, where he received rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University. In his work with the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation in Warsaw - as Rabbi of Warsaw and Lodz since 1998, and as Chief Rabbi since 2004 - he has contributed significantly to the revival of Jewish life in Poland.
Mr Schudrich is a member of “the Rabbinical Council of America” and of “the Conference of European Rabbis.” In Kashrut, he works with the Orthodox Union, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, the Chicago Rabbinical Council (CRC), and other Kashrut organizations.
